Product judgment backed by hands-on engineering.

01 / Challenge

What needed to change

Venue staff need fast, unambiguous scanning under pressure, while a long-lived app must keep pace with changing platform and Expo requirements.

02 / Approach

How I worked

  • Built Guest Pass, scanner audio and haptics, press-and-hold redemption, used-ticket counts, and event UX improvements.
  • Migrated offline storage from a local Mongo implementation to AsyncStorage and introduced explicit connectivity handling.
  • Led Expo upgrades from SDK 49 through 53 and maintained EAS profiles and release readiness.
03 / Outcome

The result

A clearer scanning workflow, a simpler storage layer, and a maintainable app that continues to ship across iOS and Android.
