01 / Challenge

What needed to change

Medical records are scattered across scans, prescriptions, and reports, while cloud-first products create understandable privacy concerns.

02 / Approach

How I worked

  • Designed an on-device aggregate model for records, attachments, extracted text, and optional clinical data.
  • Used SQLite with full-text search so retrieval remains fast and useful without a network dependency.
  • Separated product, domain, and persistence decisions through ADRs before feature implementation.
03 / Outcome

The result

The foundation now supports private, searchable records with a deliberate path toward document capture, OCR, and clinically useful organization.
